Pro-Audio
Pro-Audio test from a pro-audio manufacturer
The dScope Series III platform has established itself as the instrument of choice for many of the world's leading manufacturers and designers of professional audio equipment, from surround sound microphones to multi-channel consoles, USB & Firewire audio interfaces, PA loudspeaker systems and much more besides. Prism Sound's audio test and measurement solutions were originally conceived to enable Prism Sound to design and manufacture the highest quality, reference-grade studio recording interfaces, and now they are used worldwide to help other manufacturers and designers to produce their own products. No other audio test and measurement system allows engineers to test their products more thoroughly or faster.

Prism Sound has led the way in digital audio test and measurement over the years, and amongst many innovations, invented a test signal known as the 'JTest' for evaluating the performance AES receivers and DACs in the presence of data jitter. This test method has now been adopted as an industry standard in the audio test and measurement market, and remains one of the many vital components in the audio engineer's toolbox for design, evaluation and installation purposes.

Prism Sound's DSA-1 and dScope Series III display decoded AES channel status metadata in form that can be immediately read and understood, complete with warnings of any inconsistencies between channels or between source and receiver, in addition to allowing the user to customise the digital output channel status fields to help track down problems with AES transmitter / receiver designs and large scale installations in live sound.

For design engineers, dScope's Smart FFT detectors provide unique insight into the spectral make-up of noise and distortion products, well beyond simple THD+N measurements, giving engineers instant feedback on the real-world performance of their products. These tools have been designed BY audio engineers, FOR audio engineers - and the result is an audio measurement platform that is unmatched in terms of speed and power for verifying performance at the design, verification, manufacture and installation stages in professional audio systems and beyond.
