Scripts and Automation: Sweep equalisation

This is a very simple script that applies equalization or weighting to the result of a sweep.

This particular script is written with RIAA equalization, but the script could be modified to apply any weighting for which you have an equation that you can write in VBS. It is provided as a starting point or building block for applying equalization or weighting to the results of a sweep or FFT measurement.

The interface of the script presents only two buttons. These apply two different equalization curves - in this case RIAA and inverse RIAA. The way it works is that it finds all the sweep traces that are turned on and which have Y axis units in dB. It makes a copy of each trace, then applies the equalisation to all the points on the trace.

The download is a zip file containing only a dScope .dss automation script. Installation is simply a matter of placing the script somewhere sensible (the preferred location is the dScope /scripts/automation/ folder, typically found at "c:/Program Files/Prism Sound/dScope Series III/Scripts/Automation/") and running it from the dScope interface. Un-installing is the reverse - simply delete the file.
