Prism Sound user Air Mastering Becomes The Airlab
London January 2014: Kingston based Mastering Engineer Jerome Schmitt has been a mastering engineer for the last 15 years, with an active background in music production and sound engineering spanning over 20 years. Established in 2006, his company Air Mastering has been a highly successful enterprise, offering both online and attended mastering services to a host of top artists and record companies. Now, as he is engineering an expansion of his brand, he has decided to relaunch his business under the new name of 'The Airlab'. This also avoids potential confusion over the name due to recent developments at a certain well known London Studio. The Airlab offers a boutique online service, with clients from all over the world, as well as allowing clients to attend the sessions if they wish. In order to give warmth and richness to his mixes without changing their detailed artistic vision. Jerome explained: “I use a very high end selection of dedicated mastering equipment including the Prism Sound ADA8XR and MEA2 which are essential equipment for me.” Recent projects have included Space, Alt-J, Matthew Robertson, John Foxx & Robin Guthrie, Sony PS3 games, Mr. Scruff, Ty, Pitman, Coldcut, Kid Koala and the Cinematic Orchestra.
Jerome explains: “Regarding the name change; as well as keeping the long established reputation that I am proud of and adding online mixing to our services, this will also avoid any confusion over the name following recent developments at a certain well known London studio.”
The Airlab offers a wide range of mastering services including mastering for CD, mastering for vinyl, stem mastering, mastering for cover mount compilations, remastering and sound restoration. In addition, Jerome can prepare your tracks for any digital online distribution including the new Mastered for iTunes service.
The new The Airlab brand boasts a totally new website, with full information about rates and deals, and a new logo. For a limited period only please contact Jerome for some very special rates to celebrate the new launch.
