25th Birthday surprises at the 2012 AES Convention
Cambridge, UK, 24 September 2012:New recording products
To celebrate our 25th anniversary we'll be using the AES Convention in San Francisco to launch two totally new recording products.
They must stay under wraps for now. If you want to know more, the fastest way will be to visit our booth (722) during the show...
...and a Special Edition Orpheus!
In addition to the new products, to mark this auspicious anniversary we are happy to announce the launch of a limited edition Orpheus. Destined to become collectors' items, only 25 of these limited edition units will be offered for sale and each one will numbered. Every Orpheus in the series features a stunning black chassis and blue LED panel, and proudly carries the signature of its creator, Prism Sound's Technical Director Ian Dennis. The units also come complete with a Thunderbolt adapter.
"We anticipate huge demand for the limited edition Orpheus as they are very special and will be available on a first come, first served basis" says Graham Boswell, Prism Sound's Sales and Marketing Director. "To make them even more unique, we promise that Ian Dennis will personally fine tune and polish every one!"
Aimed at professional musicians, songwriters, engineers and producers as well as recording studios, post production facilities and scoring stages, Orpheus is ideal for a wide range of tasks including music and sound recording, multi-tracking, overdubbing, stem-based mastering, analogue summing and critical listening applications.
Orpheus provides Prism Sound's renowned performance, sound quality and state-of-the-art clock technology in a dedicated FireWire unit compatible with both Windows (XP, Vista (32 and 64bit) & Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit), ASIO & WDM) as well as MAC OS X 10.4.11 and later (Intel & PPC). Once configured with a computer, Orpheus can also operate stand-alone using its AES S/PDIF or ADAT I/O.
To find out more about the limited edition Orpheus and to see Prism Sound's new products, please visit booth 722 at the AES convention in San Francisco on the 26th to 29th of October 2012.
