Prism Sound adds three key staff to its team
Cambridge - August 2007: Cambridge, UK: Prism Sound has significantly boosted its technical and sales teams by announcing a number of staff appointments.Simon Woollard, previously employed as senior acoustics engineer at PC peripherals developer Saitek, has joined Prism Sound as sales engineer for its Test and Measurement division.
While at Saitek, Woollard helped develop PC peripherals and consumer audio products such as wireless headphones and loudspeaker systems. Prism Sound's dScope Series III audio analyzer played a vital role in Saitek's new product research and development by enabling the optimizing of audio components and systems, measuring frequency responses, configuring codec settings and measuring power amplifier and loudspeaker drive unit distortion, in addition to testing finished products.
"As a former Prism Sound dScope Series III audio analyzer customer, I was very impressed by the company's product range and by the outstanding level of technical support offered by Prism Sound staff," Woollard says. "I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to join the company and feel that my experience as an end user will be hugely beneficial to other customers."
The second appointment to the Prism Sound team is Chris Allen, who joins the company as recording hardware sales and support engineer.
Allen has spent the last five years studying audio and recording technology, completing Btec and HND music technology courses at Confetti Studios in Nottingham and studying for a BSc in audio recording and technology at De Montfort University, Leicester. He has also worked as a freelance audio production engineer in live and studio environments.
The final Prism Sound appointment is Karen Hunt, who joins the sales and marketing team as Sales and Marketing Administrator. After working in sales and marketing in the UK, Karen moved to Thailand and worked as a teacher. On her return to England, she established a baby sling business. This venture gave her extensive corporate experience, particularly in sales and marketing. She is married to a musician who is currently working on various projects with Robert Fripp and Porcupine Tree drummer Gavin Harrison.
Karen is now responsible for processing new orders across Prism Sound's Recording and Test and Measurement divisions. She will also play an important role within the sales and marketing department, handling trade show exhibition support and internet marketing.
Commenting on the new appointments, Prism Sound director Graham Boswell says: "Prism Sound is undergoing a period of expansion, which is reflected by these key appointments that are designed to support new and existing customers. Simon, Chris and Karen are fantastic additions to our team and we are delighted to welcome them on board."
