Prism Sound provide the tools for Optimum Mastering

Optimum Mastering has opened its doors. This new facility is not only new in terms of equipment, but also in location being the first major mastering facility to open in Bristol, England. Optimum's Engineers Shawn Joseph and Matt Colton have carved themselves a reputation in facilities such as Heathmans, Masterpiece and Porkys. Their discography reads like a who’s who of the recording industry working with everyone from Primal Scream and New Order through to Jazzy Jeff and Kylie Minogue.

When Shawn Joseph went looking for tools to fill his new facility he contacted Prism Sound. Their range of EQ’s, Compressor’s and AD/DA converters were the obvious choice for his new facility. He is now the proud owner of a Maselec MEA-2 Stereo Equalizer, MLA-2 Stereo Compressor and an ADA-8 Multi Channel Converter. All of these have provided him with the flexibility and quality that his customers have come to expect. His choice joins a long line of Mastering facilities, which have utilised Prism Sound products in their mastering chain. These include Sterling Sound, Metropolis Studios, Abbey Rd, The Hit Factory, Townhouse to name a few.

Optimum also utilises equipment from PMC, Sadie and TC Electronic. This combined with a room designed by Roger D’Arcy (Recording Architecture) make this a very desirable new facility.
